If there is a city in the world where great food and panoramic views go well together, that city has got to be Sydney.

We all can agree that Sydney can be a real treat for sore eyes. With that in mind, and after coming up with a hand-picked selection of hotels in Sydney with a view, we felt that, with 2020 fast approaching, it was about time to share our selection of Sydney’s restaurants with the most impressive views. Altitude

Located on level 36 at the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney, one of the best hotels in Sydney with a view, Altitude is a contemporary Australian restaurant known for its degustation menu, a wide variety of wines and delicious brunches.

Altitude’s View

Expect nothing less than commanding views over Sydney Harbour from this elegant restaurant. Without wanting to take any merit from the chef’s creations, the restaurant’s panoramic view do steal the show, particularly at night when two of the city’s most iconic landmarks lit up: Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

Altum Restaurant

Just across the harbour, on North Sydney, lies one of our favourite restaurants in Sydney. Looking forward to combine a good dosage of fun with exquisite food? After a day spent at Luna Park, taste some of the delicacies served here, a fusion between the Australian and Mediterranean cuisines.

Altum’s View

The superlative vistas are the material dreams are made of. Expect unobstructed views over the Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay. A New Year’s Eve spent here, with all the fireworks and all, is a surreal experience.

This restaurant’s glass-walled dining room definitely creates an impression - and we don’t mean just the food. Directly facing Sydney’s Opera House, tables at Aria’s rank high when it comes to dining in Sydney with a view.

Bennelong

Opened by the hand of acclaimed Australian chef Peter Gilmore, this top-notch restaurant is located inside Sydney Opera House. We are particularly fond of the ten-course tasting menu, one of the most incredible dining experiences one can have in the city.

Cafe Sydney

Perhaps a fan of rooftops? We feel you. Don’t let the name foul you though - there’s much more than coffee as this Australian inspired restaurant. The price can be a bit salty but the food is heavenly, in particular the oysters. A restaurant for that perfect romantic dinner we say.

Spectacular vistas over Circular Quay, Sydney Harbour and Sydney’s “Coathanger”, the Harbour Bridge. Sunsets here are absolutely divine.

Somehow more like a gastropub than a restaurant, this hip venue is located in Darlinghurst, moments away from Surry Hills and Hyde Park. East Village Sydney consists on 3 levels, the French Riviera inspired Terrace Rooftop being our favourite.

One thing is for sure: can’t fault the awe-inspiring views on display at Henry Deane. The way we see it? Imagine toasting at the outdoor balcony with Sydney Harbour Bridge on the background. Trust us when we say there’s no better way to kick-start a memorable night out in the city.

Either for having lunch or dinner, this is your chance to enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet at Sydney’s tallest structure - the Sydney Tower. A bit touristy, yes, but still a great dining experience.

To say the views from Sydney Tower are spectacular can still be considered an understatement. In fact, this is where the highest tables can be found in the city, allowing for truly staggering 360 aerial views. Getting a window by the table will be definitely a plus.
