Cartier Suite
The Cartier Suite is a secluded fairy-tale cottage directly planted on the lakeshore. There are plentiful reasons why this accommodation unit is perfect in what vistas concern. It features a large private deck from which guests can marvel at a panoramic lake view and a luxury bathroom with a double therapeutic tub. As if it weren’t enough, there’s also an on-site private dock from where guests can hop on a canoe or kayak and navigate the translucid waters of Lake Massawippi.
Oriole Suite
The bedroom opens onto a private deck with a hot tub; the balcony offers impressive views of the lake and surrounding woods. In addition, the natural light-filled spacious suite features a private, heated swimming pool, a heated floor, and a walk-in closet.
Massawippi Suite
This suite also features an oversized private balcony with stunning views directly over the English gardens and the lake. Located inside the Manor House, the Massawippi Suite is a favorite among guests, who are drawn by the promise of memorable vistas in a luxurious setting.

I’ve witnessed first-hand the soothing effect of being surrounded by those magical waters and virtually untouched forests. Once those who travel from nearby Montreal or other urban areas arrive at the Manoir Hovey, a sense of belonging to the pristine environment kicks in, leaving the stresses of daily life behind.
An excellent place to observe this transformation is at the Le Hatley Restaurant’s charming dining room, where patrons savor regional-inspired specialties like birch syrup, wild mushrooms, and lamb while overlooking the surrounding nature through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Another area that ranks high on guests’ preferences is the hotel’s library, not only because of its lake view but also for its gravitas, considering that it has hosted noteworthy personalities throughout the years, from former presidents to writers and artists.

The Manoir Hovey is located in the eastern Canadian province of Quebec, just a short drive from the lovely city of Sherbrooke. Getting to Manoir Hovey is a breeze (pun intended). Those traveling from Montreal taking Autoroute 10 E will get to the hotel in an hour and a half. For those leaving from Québec City, the Route Transcanadienne O/A 20 O and Autoroute 55 S will take just under three hours.
