Lodge’s Location

Getting to Makumu Private Game Lodge is not a breeze, but the effort pays off. The secluded lodge is located in the South African province of Limpopo, inside Klaserie Private Nature Reserve and bordering Kruger Park's western section. The most convenient way to get there is to fly to Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport (from Johannesburg or Cape Town), where a lodge’s representative will drive guests in an open-air vehicle. From there, the ride takes about 1.5 hours to complete. Those wishing to self-drive to Klaserie Private Nature Reserve Headquarters should do so in a 4x4 vehicle. From there, a 45-minute transfer will make the connection to the lodge.
