"The most extraordinary personal interpretation of Gothic architecture since the Middle Ages” or "It is probably impossible to find a church building anything like it in the entire history of art”, are mere examples of what has been said about it. This Unesco World Heritage Site’s construction commenced in 1882 and one still can witness its development. Yes, we’re talking about Sagrada Familia, one of the most impressive Barcelona’s landmarks; and if you stay at Hotel Ayre Rosellón you will indulge on it from the moment the day awakes to the point the moon rises. Truly, this hotel has probably the most incredible terrace view of Gaudi’s masterpiece. If you’re an absolute fan, ask for a room with a view, although you’ll be next to it: Sagrada Familia is a 3 minute walk away from Hotel Ayre Rosellón. After that, save some time for the rest; a stroll at Eixample, a very fancy Barcelona neighborhood, will be most welcome. Explore Avenida Diagonal, one of the broadest and more important avenues of the city, where you will find other superb buildings (we adore Torre Agbar and Disseny Hub Barcelona) and very nice shopping malls.

Have you ever dreamed of sleeping in a 19th century building? Your dream may come true at Hotel 1898. The classical façade, completely restored, time travels you to the 1800’s; the interiors, stylishly decorated, bring you back to the present. And the rooftop terrace, along with the heated swimming pool, widen your sight as far as the Tibidabo mountains. Hotel 1898 lies at La Rambla, neighboring the Gothic Quarter, one of the most cherished Barcelona landmarks. It houses art and culture less than 10 minutes away at spots like Palau de la Música, Gran Teatre del Liceu or Museo Picasso; it offers great gastronomic experiences in less than a 6 minute walk (try not to miss La Boquería or Els 4 Gats). And if you’re a fan of good shopping, then you’ll be at the heart of it. Hotel 1989: few places blend past, present and future in such a pleasant way.

At your back, as the streets become narrow, you’ll feel as if you were being carried to the old days’ mysteries… the congregations at Church Santa Maria del Mar, the gathering at Plaza Real, the merchants’ callings at Las Ramblas. Then, you take a turn towards the sea, and you’re back to the 21st century again. If you’re planning a trip to Barcelona and you enjoythe opposites, book your stay at Hotel Duquesa de Cardona. Situated at the very end of Barrio Gótico, this elegant hotel is housed in a 19th century building, and is somewhat a borderland between the ancient and the modern. The hotel itself is a good example of diversity: the classical walls diverge beautifully from the comfortable and contemporary interiors, or contrast harmoniously with the stunning rooftop terrace and pool where the sights depict the harbor in a futuristic atmosphere. Duquesa de Cardona. Indeed the best hotel for a full Barcelona experience.

A shelf full of books. A giant world map on a wall. An old terrestrial globe, wonderfully preserved. Vintage posters from Spanish brands. Antiques and inviting sofas spread allover the place. If you love cozy atmospheres as well as a homey feeling, stay at Boutique Hotel H10 Montcada on your next trip to Barcelona. As you probably already guessed, the interior decoration is great, all in all; but let us take you to the roof and you’ll have one of the nicest terraces and pools in town. Actually, the ambiance is so cool and the vistas so stunning that the place is regularly the locals’ choice for a sunset’s complete enjoyment. Located at Barrio Gótico, Boutique Hotel H10 Montcada is also perfect for shopping fans and culture lovers: you’ll be next to Las Ramblas, and Museo Picasso will be as close as… 3 minutes away.

A great party vibe on the terrace. A decoration that shows and resonates in state-of-the-art design. A different proposal for visiting the city. This is Hotel Pulitzer: if you look for an avant garde, extremely cool hotel, you’ve come to the right place. Hotel Pulitzer is sheer design: the baroque front desk, made from gilt-edged panels taken from a Sicilian church, combines with Asian-inspired areas, or serious heavy rooms where the wooden textures and the black and white tones prevail (ask for the ones that expand your view to Plaça Catalunya, or be bold and book the one and only gorgeous suite with its own, private 30 square meters’ veranda). Hotel Pulitzer is also the spot where stylish Catalans meet, especially in summer where live music programs are hosted at Visit Up, the hip terrace that overlooks Barcelona’s rooftops. And the hotel offers something unique in town: the possibility to visit it in two wheels. Brompton bicycles are available for rental to all guests, the kind of bikes that can be folded in 15 seconds and thus be taken wherever you go. What else do you need for a great stay in Barcelona? Oh Christ, we forgot to mention: Hotel Pulitzer is a stone’s throw from Plaça Catalunya and very close to El Born and Gothic Quarter. That is to say, right where everything happens.

La Seu, Barcelona’s Cathedral is one of the city’s most impressive monuments. Now, the question is: how would you like to see it? Front-row, sunny ground level? Upper floor, cozy setting? Or even at a higher level as you swim in a nice, warm watered pool? Do not smile, were not exaggerating, all these views are possible in a stay at Colón Hotel Barcelona. Here’s why: this neoclassical hotel is situated right opposite Barcelona’s Cathedral. The hotel boasts an outdoor terrace café in the square, facing the monument. Most of the rooms offer spectacular views of La Seu; and, at the roof-terrace, there is a vitality pool for a cathedral’s extra enjoyment. On top of this, you’ll be very, very close to other interesting spots (for instance, Plaza Catalunya, Palau de la Música or Gran Teatre del Liceu are 5 minutes away). What will you choose?

Are you one of those persons who likes to be where things happen? If this description matches you, book a room at Olivia Plaza Hotel on your next trip to Barcelona. The Olivia lies at the very city’s centre, Plaza Catalunya. This means you have easy access to the majority of the main landmarks: Barrio Gótico is next door, you’ll reach La Boqueria in a very short stroll, and you’ll be neighboring all the great shopping (La Rambla is close by). Some of the chic rooms open up Plaza Catalunya before your eyes; others allow them to climb up to the Tibidabo mountains or fly over Ciutat Vella’s rooftops. And the stylish terrace, facing the lovely Church of Santa Ana, is the perfect end of the day’s romantic cocoon. Stay in style and make sure to book a room with a view to fully enjoy the romantic Barcelona landscape.

Ask for the sky and you’ll have it. Demand for extraordinary views of the city and they will be granted as well. Welcome to Hotel Royal Passeig de Gracia, a one and only rooftop experience. We assure you that the very right moment you ascend to the heights you will understand what we’re talking about. The sky lounge at this hotel - 83,3 Terrace Bar - is absolutely remarkable due to the entire glass structure that extends your vision from the clouds to the city. There is more to indulge on, though: Royal Passeig de Gracia is a contemporary hotel located in one of the most lovely Barcelona avenues, Passeig de Gracia, just a few meters away from two of the city’s icons: Gaudi’s La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. Pure heaven on Catalonia's capital, that’s what it is.

2001 Space Odyssey. Do you recall this movie? Do you remember how the sets struck you, how the neat, clean spaces acted like silence symbols? If you were, and still are a fan, make your reservation at Barceló Sants, an extremely original hotel concept in Barcelona. From the lobby to your room, all elements will transport you to the Odyssey references for no detail has been missed (not even in the names of the restaurants: Oxygen - healthy buffet - and Hydrogen - avant grade cuisine - or the bar’s - Orbital). The minimalist, yet extremely comfortable rooms, have large windows so to allow full joy at the sights of Barcelona. Next to the Sants Train and Metro Station, this hotel is easily accessible from the airport and not far from Barcelona city center. A journey you will not forget.

Barcelona Princess is a very good choice for all business travelers: Barcelona International Convention Centre is across the street; the city’s Forum area, scarce minutes away. Also, the location is very practical: Barcelona Princess is situated on Avenida Diagonal, next to Diagonal Mar Shopping Centre. This means Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas are within reach by Metro in less than 15 minutes. At the hotel all guests can access the 2 heated pools, but we strongly recommend the one at the 23rd floor: the sea views are unbelievable… so incredible you may also yearn for a swim at the beach. Pretty easy: a short walk and you’ll be there.

H10 Universitat is a very smart hotel in an excellent location. Walk 100 meters, and you will arrive at Plaza Catalunya or the famous Las Ramblas; tour a little more and the Port will extend fully before your eyes. H10 Universitat is set in a completely restored 19th century façade but decorated with 21st century elements. One of them is the stylish, modern design and contemporary art that can be found at its premises. The other is the pretty terrace on the rooftop from where you will able to indulge on the beautiful Barcelona views either at dusk or at dawn (After a sight like the ones we’ve mentioned before you’ll surely need and deserve a good breakfast. Try the ones at the hotel; they are excellent!)

Hotel Condes de Barcelona has the soul of a star and the genetics of an aristocrat. Set in a marvelous 19th century building on Passeig de Gracia, it was chosen several times as the perfect location for worldwide brands’ advertising commercials. The façade is remarkable, the modern interiors all designed and displayed with care. At the top floor, the chic roof-terrace bar called Alaire (In the air) is a great place to watch the sunset with a nice cocktail on your hands and Barcelona’s widespread views. And if you’re in for a superb dinner you’ll be at the right place: Martin Berasategui is Condes de Barcelona’s gastronomic director. He serves gourmet cuisine at the two-Michelin starred restaurant, Lasarte, or more casual meals at the Loidi bistro. Back to your room you’ll find the coziest atmosphere… most probably as La Pedrera or La Sagrada Familia wave at you from the other side of your window.

The Gran Hotel Torre de Catalunya, a converted glass office tower, rises right across the street from Barcelona Sants Station, from where you get a one-seat ride to the airport and the metro takes you anywhere in the city: Plaza Catalunya and the historic center are one stop away on the train. Gran Hotel is also one of the top hotels in town to enjoy impressive, aerial perspectives from Barcelona: if you climb up to 23rd floor, Visual Restaurant will delight you with Mediterranean food, while leaving you breathless with the 360º vistas. But you can have those for your eyes only: on doing your reservation ask for one of the cozy suites or a high corner room; the sights will be all yours.

In 1888 Barcelona held the Universal Exposition. The world’s fair was hosted on the city’s main public park, Parc de la Ciutadella, with the particular Arc de Triomf (Arch ofTriumph) as its entrance, and the Castell dels Tres Dragons (The Castle of the Three Dragons) as its Café-Restaurant. Most of the exposition’s constructions have disappeared, but these three icons remain beautifully intact. Opt for a stay at K+K Hotel Picasso El Born if you enjoy fantasy and modernism. Here’s why: the park and the castle are just across the street; the arch, few minutes away. Do not miss them; they all seem like chapters of a fairy tale waiting to be completed by you. The truth is it will be difficult not to stumble on them… at least from the lovely rooftop terrace and pool. Situated at Passeig Picasso, this wonderful boutique hotel is also close to Picasso Museum and The Modern Art Museum. K+K Hotel Picasso El Born: the real opportunity to see a different side of Barcelona and stay a little far from the tourist crowds.
