The Dylan Amsterdam is undisputedly one of the greatest boutique hotels in Amsterdam with a canal view. With only 40 luxurious rooms and suites inspired in the Netherlands' Asian colonial past, its size is just about right for those looking for an intimate and exclusive Amsterdam hotel. Located in Amsterdam's city centre, more precisely along the Keizersgracht canal, The Dylan Amsterdam is just a short time away from Dam Square, Nine Streets complex and Leidseplein. One of our favorite spaces at this stylish hotel is its idyllic garden with terrace - at night, when candles are lit at this magical venue, romance happens on the spot. The Dylan Amsterdam makes available to its guests a fleet of black bicycles, the best way to explore Amsterdam as a true local. After a long day cycling through Amsterdam's exciting streets, end your day with an unforgettable dinner at Restaurant Vinkeles, one of the first-class dining venues in the city.

Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht - a concept by Hyatt (5 Star)
How inviting is that yellow chair facing directly one of Amsterdam's canals? Could you think of a better place to read a book or just have a cup of tea while watching the boats pass by your upscale hotel? All this is possible when picking a room with a canal view on the stylish Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht, situated by one of Amsterdam's main canals: the Prinsengracht. Contemporary and fashionable rooms and suites have been personally decorated by Marcel Wanders, one of the most prominent Dutch designers (floor-to-ceiling windows always help to portrait the magnificent canal views). This refined hotel's location is exceptional, minutes away from Anne Frank House (located by the same Amsterdam canal), the Rijksmuseum, Vondelpark (large public urban park), Leidseplein, (Amsterdam's nightlife epicentre), Van Gogh Museum and Dam Square. Summing it all up, Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht is an exceptional choice for those looking for a terrific design hotel in Amsterdam with memorable views and a top location.

Please note: just not any canal, we're talking about the Herengracht, probably Amsterdam's most famous water channel. Hotel Okura Amsterdam – The Leading Hotels of the World (5 Star)
Rising up to 23 floors above the ground is already a strong reason to believe that 5 star Hotel Okura Amsterdam boasts some of the best panoramic views over the Dutch capital city. Twenty Third Bar, presumedly on the 23rd floor, is the place to go as the day comes to an end and both local and international visitors mingle to stare at the stupendous Amsterdam views as soon as the city lights start to lit up. Feeling hungry? On the same 23rd floor guests are welcome to dine at multi-awarded restaurant Ciel Bleu, one of the finest Amsterdam restaurants with a view. Upon arriving at the hotel for the first time, ask one of the friendly receptionists to assign you a high-floor room and ensure you'll be gazing out at Amstelkanaal, Amstel River, Rembrandt Tower (the tallest building in Amsterdam), the unmistakable Munttoren and most of Amsterdam's emblematic churches. In case you just had one of those long-walking days, a visit to Japanese inspired Nagomi Spa & Health is highly recommended (saunas, indoor pool and pretty much everything required to unwind). Hotel Okura Amsterdam is located in the upscale De Pijp, an area where many streets have painter names and the famous Albert Cuyp Market - perhaps Amsterdam's busiest street market - is situated.

When it comes to hotels in Amsterdam city centre with a perfect canal view, it's hard to find a better alternative that Luxury Suites Amsterdam. To begin with, this top-quality hotel resembles like a boutique hotel as it features only 25 suites. The suites are all quite spacious and come with all the amenities one could expect: large-soft beds, spacious bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, flat screen TVs and Nespresso coffee machines. When you're not busy enjoying your private luxury suite, you're welcome to explore the hotel's lounge, bar or gym. Luxury Suites Amsterdam is moments away from Royal Palace of Amsterdam, Rembrandt House Museum and Zuiderkerk church (partially painted by Claude Monet). In fact, this contemporary hotel, despite of its central location, still manages to be away from the busy tourist streets. For all these reasons, Luxury Suites Amsterdam is a jewel awaiting to be discovered on your upcoming stay in Amsterdam. Speaking of jewels, Gassan Diamond Factory is nearly next door and is well worth a visit.

Amsterdam's traditional town houses are an important part of the city's cultural identity. That being said, we found very interesting that Pulitzer Amsterdam, one of Amsterdam's best hotels, is actually a set of 25 inter-connected town houses facing Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht canals. Staying in a town house is actually quite interesting as one easily experiences a sense of belonging to the city - a perfect way to stay in the city with your loved one if you ask us. For instance, you can wake up to a glorious canal view and head for breakfast at the Nine Streets complex, a nearby trendy area where locals gather and enjoy life. Other nearby Amsterdam attractions include Dam Square, Anne Frank's House, Westerkerk church, Boom Chicago and Magna Plaza shopping mall. A word of advice: instead of taking the usual touristic Amsterdam canal cruise, choose to see Amsterdam from the Pulitzer’s own classic salon boat, which dates back to 1909. In 1946, just after the end of the second World War, Winston Churchill toured the city in this unique boat. How romantic is that?

Planning your stay on the "Venice of the North" (as Amsterdam is often referred to)? This time, instead of staying by the The Grand Canal, you'll be enjoying life on the margin of Amstel River, Amsterdam's main river. The Palatial InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam, one of the top hotels in Amsterdam, is always a great choice. Due to its waterfront position, guests can either pick a room with a river view or city view - but it doesn't end there. Fascinating river views are also available from French restaurant La Rive as well as Amstel Brasserie - in fact, dining here is perfect to witness Amsterdam's bustling nautical activity with its permanent river cruises and passing boats. InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam decoration is inspired in the Victorian style which adds on to the feeling of staying in a luxury hotel that is at the same time a true historical building. Weesperplein station is just a couple of minutes away. This Amsterdam city centre hotel is also within walking-distance to the distinguished Royal Theatre Carré.
